Current Projects

The following are examples of how TST conducts its programs and illustrates our differing approach to each consultancy.

 

Leadership and Team Development

 

TST provides specialist leadership and team development programs for a variety of clients including insurance companies, elite sporting teams and utility companies.

 

These programs vary in scope according to requirements - so whilst we have common elements, our approach will differ according to the culture of the organisation and the leadership and team development competencies required.

 

Longer term programs can be developed requiring attendance at a number of sessions or shorter term high impact programs can be developed to focus on one or two issues that have immediate effect on the individual or team.

 

All programs include development of an action plan and follow-up.

 

 

Elite Sporting Programs - Leadership and Team Development

 

 

Currently TST provides leadership and team development programs for SANFL League football sides Woodville-West Torrens and Glenelg. Common elements around the programs include:

  • Education around the key concepts of leadership and team development.
  • Determination of a team brand, team objectives and non-negotiables.
  • Participation in experiential activities designed to reinforce leadership and team development concepts.
  • Development of an action plan for achievement.
  • Development of a continuing development plan with the leadership group to drive action.
  • Follow-up workshops driven by the leadership group to engage the team and receive feedback.

 

 

Sales Development

 

TST provides specialist sales and customer service programs to companies in both the financial services and power generation industries. These include the AMP Corporate superannuation sales program, the Goldsborough sales development program and the DKN sales development program.

 

Our approach has included the following:

  • Education around the key concepts of customer service and sales.
  • Participation in experiential activities designed to reinforce concepts.
  • Application of those concepts to the individual and company circumstance.
  • Development of an action plan for sales achievement.
  • Follow-up workshops driven by sales managers to ensure that the changes are implemented.

Program content is dependant upon your need however typically we include the following:

  • Understanding yourself and your customers.
  • Segmenting the market.
  • Basic sales techniques.
  • Using the telephone to sell.
  • Providing outstanding service (customer loyalty).

Safety

TST provides a range of safety leadership and safety specific programs.

 

Our "safety resilience" program provides a good demonstration of our approach across all of these interventions.

Flinders Power - Safety resilience program

This program is being conducted in direct response to an increasing number of safety incidents and accidents at a particular site. The program consists of the following:

 

  • A half-day workshop reminding employees of responsibilities, company policy and available support tools.
  • An issue generation session involving determination of the safety issues that are contributing to the deteriorating situation at a "team" level.
  • Education around the key issues, including experiential activities designed to reinforce concepts.
  • Prioritisation of those issues to determine the key safety leverage points.
  • Preparation of a team action plan for improvement.
  • Follow-up meetings to determine whether actions have been taken and acted upon.

 

 

This approach is typical of how we design our programs whether they are related to safety in teams, leadership or to specific topics such as hazard management.

 

Our full safety resilience program includes workshops for management and team leaders designed to ensure that the program is supported throughout the site.

 

Certificate Training - Northern Territory Government

 

TST currently provides Diploma in Management (Frontline) for the Northern Territory Government. This demonstrates our capacity to deliver simultaneous programs to large groups across a wide area.

These long-term programs are designed to deliver a series of outputs each related to the company and individual participant need. They include:

 

  • Self-awareness sessions.
  • Tailored pre-reading.
  • Coaching and mentoring support.
  • Integrated workshops.
  • Action plans, based on workshop content.
  • Workplace project.

      

TST is also able to delivered registered training programs in Certificate IV and V of Training and Assessment and Certificate IV in Safety.

 

Other Program

 

TST also provides tailored programs involving strategic planning, human resource management, customer service and process management. Current projects include:

 

Electranet SA - Process re-engineering

 

We are currently working with Electranet to redesign their approach to tendering for unregulated projects.

 

ETSA - Human resource restructure

 

We have just concluded working with ETSA Utilities Human Resource department to restructure their area and develop a strategic plan for the next three years.

 

Prospect City Council - Strategic plan

 

We are currently working with this major Adelaide council to develop, in association with their staff and councillors, a strategic plan for the next 5 years.

 

ETSA - Customer service

 

We are currently working with customer service teams from this major service organisation to improve their customer service outcomes.
